Hey all! My question is simple. All I want to know is if there is a simple way of detecting when a user presses the spacebar.

REASON FOR QUESTION: I'm just an amateur programer who came across squirrel when messing around with scripting in Valve's Hammer World Editor. Recently I've been using it to alter in-game player movement. For the most part, I can use the code in tangent with the game editor's triggers. Using the editor I can detect when up down left and right is pressed and use that knowledge to alter variable values in my code. The only problem is that it can't detect when the jump key is pressed (spacebar). Which is why I want to know if there is a simple way of detecting that with squirrel.

I think you'll have more luck on Valve's forum/wiki. Your question is very "Source" specific.

no I won't. I use that all the time. There's nothing on there. And it's not source specific. The answer to this question could work with any Squirrel program. All I need to know if there's a way to code Squirrel to detect if a user has pressed the spacebar. nothing more.
