I think "Squirrel" is too long, most famous programming has short name(e.g. B, C, C++, C#, Lua), they are easy to remember or speak.
And "Squirrel" is not friendly to google.

When I named the language I didn't plan that far :) . if you google squirrel you get it a s 4th/5th hit, so is not that unfriendly, 'squirrel language' is the 1st hit.

On google.co.uk I get it as the second hit, the first being Squirrel (Animal) on Wikipedia.

Spam aside, I also think squirrel is a bad naming choice. It would have been wise to rename the project by now.

Google Germany shows me:

- Squirrel Language wikipedia page (because I visited it before)
- Squirrels Animal
- Squirrel SQL Client
- Squirrel Language homepage
- SquirrelMail

All of the above also appear when searching for technical stuff about squirrel - especially SquirrelMail comes up often.
Also SQPlus is a rather poor naming choice because Google tries to autocorrect it to SQLPlus for me.

While nut is a neat file extension for a language called squirrel, it's also hard to guess what the file is about.

However, I don't think a shorter name is better. Squirrel (8 Symbols) ~ JavaScript (10 Symbols), Python (6 symbols), Visual C++ (10 symbols), Basic (5 symbols but often a dialect attached), Haskell (7 symbols) etc. are also doing fairly well ;)

I think .nut sounds like the file extension for a Squirrel package manager rather than the de facto extension for source files (I think of squirrels gathering nuts), but otherwise "Squirrel" seems like a memorable enough name for a language, and it has a bit of fun to it. Of course, a person embedding Squirrel in their application can use whatever names or file extensions they wish.

Hi Scott , great reviews what you have done .. i purcsahed my first E-cig nearly 2 weeks ago after watching your videos i decided on the Evolution , i bought 2 starter packs one for me and 1 for my wife , i have been very impressed and i havn't had a real cigarette for nearly 2 weeks , The 2 minute cutout gets a bit annoying at times as they cut out even before the 5 second draw sometimes.
