Hello,

When I moved from old version of SQUIRREL forum to this I'd found how hard is formatting message text to readable form.

I can't know even now how to use codes for proper formatting.

Would You place something about example of format rules use, rules list and etc. on forum header or/and inside a message editor.

Also preview doesn't work (in my case this button display text without paragraphs and formatting).

Thanks and Regards.

The formatting acn be done by selecting the text and changing the properties of the font. or if you are hard-core you can just type in html in the html panel (select 'Formatted' for source code).

What browser are you using BTW? Firefox and IE6 work fine for me.

Ok I checked the support site of this forum engine, and seems that FireFox as a bug in the Javascript cache or something like that. I'll upgrade to a newer version of the forum engine asap and I hope they solved the issue.

Ok I've changed the editor engine in the forum. This should be 100% Firefox compatible(is FCKEditor). I'm posting this from FireFox and seems to be fine.

<span style="font-family: monospace;">code test

</span>
<h2><span style="font-family: monospace;">Heading</span></h2>
<address>Italic

Hello,

Mostly I'm using Opera browser.

But I check in <B>Internet Explorer</B> and found same problems (even more, IE reports error in toolbar).

This post I try to use ordinal HTML tags. Preview works. But in post message text they looks like a normal text. :(

Regards.

I'm posting from IE6 and seems to be working fine, both posting and preview. Any idea how to reproduce the error you just mentioned?

ciao

Hello,

This post made by "IE 6.0.2800.1106 Update version SP1"

When "new post" page is loaded error message box appears 'Toolbar set "CSNoHtml" doesn't exist'.

Under the subject field I see toolbar but it is empty.

This is always reproducable on my work computer or home computer or even my notebook computer.

Regards.

Hello,

This post made by Opera 7.51 for Windows.
In all cases of ID (from IE 6 to Mozilla 5) no toolbar appears.

Some time ago I see at left toolbar with emoticons but now it goes off.

This situation also reprodusable on computers I found.

Regards.

I use Opera 8.5 and I don't see any toolbar in post window. When I create new topic, there're only "Subject" and message text fields, "Do not allow replies to this post." checkbox, icons for post and "Email me replies to this post" checkbox.

Preview works very strange for me too - it uses raw HTML formatting (I even need to use "br" tags to insert line break).

Also I don't see any text formatting in MY posts (others' are all OK) - just raw message text with all HTML tags visible.

Some strange things happen with this forum on my computer...

The same is true for IE 6 on XP SP 2, Win2k Pro.

Firefox has the same problem on any OS I tried.

It seems that only toolbar is not displayed but shortcuts are working - I've used Ctrl-B to boldface the text.
